Definition:
i. It is not leaking
ii. Impregnable - strong enough to resist or withstand attack
The word Odeshi is simply a compression of this Igbo sentence, "O dighi eshi" which literally means, "It is not leaking".
The Bakassi Boys are surrounded with the myth of not being harmed by live bullets or machetes or any metal objects capable of harming any normal human being. That was when Odeshi came to mean 'impregnable' as it was said that the Bakassi Boys shouted whenever robbers shot them during an exchange of fire.
